"The Snare Drum"
Ever since I can remember, I have been hearing impaired with auditory neuropathy and have always loved the sounds of music. I did not always catch the lyrics, but I always heard the sound of percussion instruments playing in the background, and fell in love with those sounds immediately. To this day, even with subtitles and printed lyrics, I decide if I like a song by the musicians usage of the drum. Little Boy Drummer, strumming and humming to a different beat, walking a different path, living a special life, and loving it. (Steven DeWitt Perrin)
