Outside my gallery, I recently admired two palm trees silhouetted against the darkening sky. As I headed home, a brilliant orange sun was setting in a now blood red sky! I merged these two memories together to create one everlasting image portraying our breathtaking Arizona sunsets!

This work prompts the viewer to look more closely at nature. The palm fronds form the shape of an ‘eye,’ the sun represents the ‘iris,’ and the leaves are the ‘eyelashes.’ I believe careful observation is one key to making everything possible!
