"Remembering September 11, 2001" (formerly"Father Knows Best")
Original signed & framed painting!
(Deep Satin Black Wood Shadow Frame)
This painting honors the memories of the nearly 3,000 precious lives we lost, and of every hero who has given their life since that day to protect our safety and our freedom! When I lived in NYC, the World Trade Center was the last tourist icon I visited. When I moved back home to Florida, I began this fishing-themed painting for my dad who loved to fish. It soon developed into 'fishing for answers' after the 9/11 disaster. I 'enhanced' the four elements of nature to incorporate the Disaster. My Expressionist figure represents a man fishing for answers and as well protecting the world from harm. There is no clear way to describe the emotions I went through as I worked on this piece, and the struggles I endured to finish it after the WTC terrorist attack on 9/11/2001!
